Building stronger partnerships for childhood eye health

We are pleased to welcome Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) into the Know The Glow family following the signing of our Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This partnership represents a shared commitment to strengthening awareness, education, and advocacy around childhood eye health and the early detection of retinoblastoma.

Through this collaboration, we look forward to creating opportunities for students to take an active role in eye health advocacy, from campus-based awareness initiatives to community engagement and educational activities. By connecting students with a global movement focused on childhood blindness prevention, we hope to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to become powerful advocates both within and beyond the university.

We are grateful to the leadership and Department of Optometry at MMUST for embracing this collaboration and for recognizing the value of student-led action in advancing public health. We look forward to seeing this partnership grow and to the ideas, initiatives, and impact that will emerge from the MMUST community. Together, we can help more people recognize the signs of childhood eye disease and understand why early detection can make all the difference.
