In our continued mission to raise awareness about leukocoria and preventable childhood eye conditions, KnowTheGlow is proud to support the impactful work of Let Our Children See (LOCS) in Kenya.Based in Kisumu, LOCS is a registered NGO dedicated to enhancing children’s eye health through early detection, treatment, and advocacy.
Since April 2025, LOCS has led a range of school-based eye health initiatives, reaching children and families with vital information and services. With financial support from KnowTheGlow, LOCS printed and distributed awareness posters and banners, now displayed at their Vision Centres to reinforce education and encourage early detection. They have also developed a school eye health checklist to support teachers and school health workers in identifying potential vision issues among children.
Their work extends beyond schools. LOCS has also been building healthcare worker capacity through targeted training sessions at maternal and child health (MCH) facilities, equipping frontline providers with the tools to recognize early signs of leukocoria and other childhood eye conditions.
KnowTheGlow remains committed to supporting organizations working to eliminate avoidable childhood blindness.
