We are proud to announce the partnership with the Jack McGovern Coats’ Disease Foundation (JMCDF) to increase awareness about preventable blindness. After their son Jack was diagnosed with Coats’ Disease in 2006, Ed and Tina McGovern started the JMCDF and have since dedicated countless hours trying to increase awareness about Coats’ Disease and other forms of childhood blindness.
Through their events, website, and Facebook page, the Foundation has become an invaluable resource of information for those families whose children are afflicted with this blinding disease. The JMCDF continues to raise money to fund new research and has cultivated a community of patients, parents and medical professionals for support. The goal of the JMCDF is to offer all children hope as they wage a lifelong battle against Coats’ Disease and blindness.
Know The Glow and the Jack McGovern Coats’ Disease Foundation have most recently collaborated on a marketing campaign through the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) Conference and Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada in March 2015. With nearly 13,000 attendees and 300 exhibitors, we hope to reach a broad but targeted audience with information about The Glow and through these photographers’ lenses, we hope to find more children at risk of losing their sight before it’s too late.
