KnowTheGlow’s collaboration with the Iksha Foundation in India.

 Iksha is dedicated to supporting pediatric eye cancer patients and their families in their diagnostic and treatment journeys. 

Iksha hosted a lecture led by a Retinoblastoma expert for over 200 Medical practitioners working at primary health centers run by the local municipality in Bengaluru, India. Iksha also held their 7th annual fundraiser at Shangri-La, Bangalore on India’s Independence Day, August 15th! 

KnowTheGlow is excited to announce an upcoming collaboration with the Iksha Foundation in India. In continuation of KnowTheGlow’s commitment to running an annual campaign in India, Megan Webber and Helene Dameris from KnowTheGlow met with Thamaya Bekkalale, Co-Founder, Aravind Seshadri, Co-Founder, of the Iksha Foundation, and Sushma Palukuru, Volunteer, Program Coordinator for Iksha.

KnowTheGlow is excited to partner with Iksha Foundation later this year in order to spread awareness about Retinoblastoma and Leukocoria through messaging in 7 Indian languages (Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Oriya, Marathi, Assamese, and Telugu), in addition to Hindi and English. The campaign will run from November 15, 2024, to January 15, 2025, targeted to cover the dates when the ISOO2024 Conference will be taking place in Goa, India, and will highlight a different language, and therefore different region, each week!
